(Dedicated Fund on Branding, Upgrading and Domestic Sales)

What is BUD Fund?

  • HK$6 million cumulative funding per enterprise: Mainland and FTA economies*covering up to 50% of costs, capped at HK$2 million per project
  • Initial Payment: Amount is increased to 75% of total approved Government funding.
  • Project duration is up to 24 months.
  • Each enterprise can apply for up to 40 projects
  • All projects can commence one day after the project application is submitted.

*the BUD Fund "FTA and IPPA Programme" covers applications for undertaking projects to develop the markets of ASEAN (i.e. Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam), Australia, Chile, the four member states of the European Free Trade Association (i.e. Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland), Georgia, Macao, New Zealand, Austria, Belgo-Luxembourg Economic Union, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, the Netherlands, Sweden and the United Kingdom, i.e. 34 economies in total.

Check Eligibility

  • Non-listed Hong Kong enterprise
  • Hong Kong Business Registration Certificate
  • With substantive business operations in Hong Kong
  • Can guarantee completion of project before receipt of final payment
  • Utilizes the funding for developing business in the Mainland and/or FTA markets
  • Holds relevant licence /qualification /certification in the Mainland and/or FTA market as to demonstrate the viability of the project
